Customised Typography Gifts!

My best friend and her boyfriend recently moved their first house together so I needed to come up with a one of a kind present that they could keep forever. I took inspiration from some text picture I had seen and came up with a format that would incorporate the date the moved in and to also congratulate them on the new house. The outcome of this can be seen below...

Since putting this up on Facebook a lot of people have become interested in purchasing one for their friends and family so I have started to customise them to order. An example of this can be seen below...

I am open for commissions if you would like your very own text picture, drop me a message at paper.rabbit@rocketmail.com or visit my Paper Rabbit Facebook page and we can discuss your requirements!

The Guardian Moment Of Fame.

Last year I produced a logo for a local bake club in Newcastle called Singing Hinnies & Fat Rascals, it was a great project to work on as I also designed their Facebook and Twitter pages, giving them the complete makeover.

The final logo was really fun and represented the name of the club perfectly, check it out in the image below to see the final design.

Final Logo.

Earlier this week I was ecstatic to see that it had been featured in The Guardian newspaper in an article about baking and cooking clubs of the North East of England. If you have a minute check out this article as it gives a great insight into the work of local people educating each other and sharing knowledge in areas such as cakes, pies and meats.

My logo's and Singing Hinnies & Fat Rascals moment of fame can be seen here. Click 'here' or the image to view the article.

K&K Beauty Beautician Identity.

A current project I am working on is for a local beauticians under the name of  K & K Beauty, it is run by two very talented sisters within VFM Hairdressers situated in Albany, Washington, Tyne and Wear. As with previous clients they are keen to establish a brand identity for themselves and get a look that they can include over a variety of material.

I started as always by sketching a few ideas out to get the inspiration going then taking them into Photoshop and producing some working ideas that can be show to the client.

Initial Ideas.

Logo Ideas.

With communication back and forth with the clients we used a part from two initial logos and combined them into the logos you see below. The client is happy with the outcome and the logo will be rolled out over the businesses media.

Final Logo Design.

Next on the agenda is to design a Facebook cover photo and profile picture to reflect the new logo, so watch this space!

I am open for commissions if you would like your very own logo, drop me a message at paper.rabbit@rocketmail.com or visit my Paper Rabbit Facebook page and we can discuss your logo needs!

Butterfly Island Beautician Logo.

I have been super busy with logos for the past month, included in these has been one for a local mobile beautician under the name of Butterfly Island Mobile Beautician. This was a great project to work on as it was commissioned as a birthday present by the beauticians sister. A very inventive and unique birthday present, that is totally personalised.

The brief was open so I was let loose to design any type of logo I wanted. I started by sketching out some very different ideas so that the client would have a wide choice of logos to choose from. The results of this can be seen below...

Initial Sketches.

I then translated these into Photoshop designs and also produced a few more alternatives in the process. These logos below were then sent to the client where she picked her favorite to become the final design.

Butterfly Island Logo Sheet.

The square butterfly letter logo at the bottom was chosen as the final design. I also felt this was the strongest design and was happy that the client felt this also. To provide a variety of uses for the logo I duplicated it into a selection of colours as well as black and white so that the client could choose which they preferred and also have the option to change the colour for different mediums.

Final Butterfly Island Logo.

The main design of this logo evolves around the butterfly, it is made up of two B's for the wings and a letter 'I' for the body of the butterfly. This I feel makes the logo totally unique as it has a picture logo with it as well as the logo text, it is totally unique to the business and client.

Keepsake Creations Facebook Design.

A part of some of the freelance work I have been doing lately was to do a Facebook cover image and profile picture for hand made crafter Keepsake Creations by Joey. The client wanted a vintage shabby chic feel to the design to reflect the products for sale. Check out their Facebook page to see all the unique personalised creations, perfect for all year round gifts.

I started sketching out some ideas and then translated this into a Photoshop design ready to be shown to the client. The design was approved and uploaded to Facebook, instantly giving the business a brand identity. Check out the finished design below...
