Miss Sugar Bones Brooch Cards.

I recently completed a project for a local designer Miss Sugar Bones who was launching her Etsy shop selling her cute animal brooch designs. She required a card to pin her brooches to that would also double as a advertisement for her business, these would reflect the look of her shop and also provide a medium in which to display her designs.

I started by brain storming some ideas by hand then worked these into working examples in Photoshop to send to her so she could pick the design she liked best that could then be developed into a final product. This process can be seen in the images below...

Initial Designs.

The preferred design was selected and I got to work developing this into a final product. The detail of the button was changed from printed to actual buttons, each card would have a different coloured button so that the colour of the brooch could be matched to button. The background to the button was also developed into an eight bit bow design to add extra detail but not drawing attention away from the actual brooch. The final card design can be seen below...

Final Card Design.

With the final design approved thirty cards were printed to start off with, and the various coloured buttons glued to the design. These were printed out on medium thickness card so that they would keep their form with the brooch attached and wouldn't be too thick for the brooch to be attached to.

Final Printed Cards.

The cards were handed over and the brooches attached. They are currently up for sale on Miss Sugar Bones' Etsy page and look FAB, so go treat yourself!
